It possesses a unique Northern Thai culture. Local villagers speak Northern Thai dialect and identify themselves as khonmuang, a separate ethnic group from the central Thai. They have their own traditional customs. 8:30 Depart from your hotel in Chiangmai. Arrive the village, start trekking for one hour and a half through tea, coffee plantation and see the villagers working in their fields. Walking through the forest of tree “ Por Tae “ or Klitsana tree which we use for herb and it can be used for making "incense" sticks. Then walk 30 minutes to Maekampong Waterfall, originated from the natural stream in Ban Mae Kampong. It is divided into seven levels. On the top of the scenery of the mountain range can be seen. Back to the village for lunch and afternoon, walk around the villages to observe their way of life and occupation group: the traditional music group, the housewives group, the herbal medicine group, the traditional massage group, the bamboo weaving group, and the black-smith group. Back to Chiangmai around 17:00 Overnight at The Rim (superior room) DAY 14 : CHIANG MAIVery early (06.30 hrs.) depart from your hotel to participate at the daily traditional “TAK BAT”. The purpose is the offer food to the Monk. From Wat Sri Soda the guide will prepare the food, lotus flower and you will offer those to the young novices who walk down from the temple in a long queue; sometimes there are more than 200 monks. Then drive to up the hill of Doi Suthep to visit the temple with the same name with an unrestricted view. Back to the hotel for breakfast. Rest of the morning free program.
